Recruitment under pressure
In July 2023, a client in the defense sector gave us a tough challenge: urgently recruit a systems and network administrator. The timeline? Three months and right during the peak of the summer holidays. But it wasn’t just about finding someone with the right technical skills. The ideal candidate also needed to manage complex network infrastructures, secure critical systems and quickly adapt to a company with high standards.
Our approach
Target the right profiles and validate technical skills
Our approach was built for speed and precision. Using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, we filtered and identified profiles that closely matched the client’s expectations. We launched a direct outreach campaign supported by a detailed recruitment pitch tailored to the role.
The technical director at Sigilence then led in-depth technical assessments — far beyond standard HR interviews. These included real-time exercises, deep dives into Windows and Linux system administration and technical discussions to evaluate real expertise.
Throughout the process, we maintained close communication with every shortlisted candidate. Even those who weren’t ultimately hired received transparent updates on their application status, building trust and reducing last-minute dropouts.
Results
A committed candidate and a satisfied client
By the end of the three-month period, the mission was accomplished. The selected candidate signed the contract on August 21, 2023, left their previous job and relocated to Toulouse shortly thereafter. Not only did the candidate meet the technical expectations (network administration, security, server management), but they also successfully integrated into the client’s company culture.
Two years later, they’re still in the role: proof that urgent doesn’t have to mean rushed when recruitment is handled with care.
